Singapore will soonallow travellers from Taiwanto take a COVID-19 polymerase chain reaction (PCR) test upon arrival and to go about their activities in Singapore if the PCR test result is negative.They will not need to serve a 14-day stay-home notice, said MOH on Thursday, adding that the COVID-19 situation in Taiwan has improved.

The eased border measures will take effect from 11.59pm on Saturday for all travellers entering Singapore with travel history to Taiwan within the last 21 days before departure.Travellers who are already serving their stay-home notice at their place of residence as of 11.59pm on Saturday will still need to complete their stay-home notice and exit swab, added MOH.

While we have controlled covid-19, our northern neighbour infection is having effects on Singapore with a few FnB production experiencing issues due to the rising cases. What chances are there that FnB manufacturing plants closure due to infections will not affect us badly? number of cases still high including unlinked cases.. but Singapore is re-opening on Aug 10… i guess the white flag is raised against Covid and time to live with it. Just hope that the vaccine works as it should 🤞🏻
