SINGAPORE - The travel plans of some passengers at Changi Airport were disrupted early Thursday morning after the fire alarm at the control tower went off, causing the tower to be evacuated.
"Normal flight operations were restored at 1.40am when Changi Control Tower resumed operations," it said, adding:"During this period, 50 departure flights were delayed by 30 minutes or more and nine arriving flights were diverted." Passengers took to social media to voice their frustrations, saying that they had little clue as to what was happening while the incident was ongoing.
