SINGAPORE: The fourth-generation, or 4G, team will develop a “Forward Singapore” agenda, setting out the country's roadmap for the next decade and beyond, said Finance Minister Lawrence Wong on Sunday .

Mr Wong was recently named as leader of the 4G team, paving the way for him to be the next Prime Minister. Mr Wong added that he’s seeking the Labour Movement’s “full participation and support” to work with the People’s Action Party and tripartite partners in the exercise. “We also have new generations of Singaporeans coming of age, with different aspirations and expectations, including a desire for more diversity, as well as more checks and balances,” he added.

Mr Wong said that many of those around his age or younger didn’t live through Singapore’s founding years, yet are “direct beneficiaries” of tripartism.

Just don't end up 'rot-map'

4G is overthinking what’s ahead in a decade! Why not mitigate CURRENT issues such as inflation and wages for middle & lower income citizens?!?! Or Gov thinks $100 for every citizen is enough to fight inflation?!

I truely miss the 'world cup finals' road map. There is no follow-through nor accountability after spending the budgets on it.
