SINGAPORE - Four students and one non-teaching staff from five different schools have tested positive for the coronavirus.

"While positive, the tests for all five cases revealed low viral loads," MOE said, adding that a repeat test using new samples showed that all five cases were negative. Three of the five cases had onset of symptoms on June 3, while one began having symptoms on June 2 and the other, on May 31. The ministry noted that some of the students on LOA have registered for the Mother Tongue Language examinations on June 18.

How about everybody practise safe distancing once they left schools as well. It's called personal responsibility. Schools & teachers can only do so much. But once kids step outside the gates, all bets r off for most. MOEsg send out ur inspectors.

Bubble tea ? 🤣

This scenario is similar to the dormitories cases where students are sitting together in enclosed classrooms and can spread easily if one student is infected with COVID-19.

MOE should get all students and teaching and non teaching staff from primary schools to tertiary institutions to be swab test for the COVID-19 to prevent further spread of virus and new cluster.

Joke

And they are in a class all day, canteen, taking bus, family etc. How many already get infected 😱

Annnnnnd..... Those students sharing the same bus stop out side the schools.

My guess they went out .. during circuit breaker. Seen my neighbours post pictures of children without mask in her neighbourhood picking fruits from their estate. This is before the school open.

Well done. If they are likely infected during the CB, question is how when they are supposed to stay home during CB
