3 more confirmed COVID-19 cases in Singapore, 2 patients discharged

SINGAPORE: Singapore reported three more confirmed cases of COVID-19 on Saturday said the Ministry of Health in a daily update, adding that two more were also discharged.The recovered patients are a 28-year-old mother and her six-month-old baby . So far 49 people have recovered from the virus in Singapore.

For the third case, MOH said that contact tracing is under way to establish any links to previous cases or travel history to China.According to MOH, Case 87 is a 32 year-old male Singaporean who was evacuated from Wuhan on Feb 9. He did not show symptoms when he boarded his flight, but was put under quarantine upon landing in Singapore.

He is linked to Case 76 who is a one-year-old baby who was also evacuated from the epicentre of the outbreak. As she was identified as a contact of Case 66, a 28-year-old Singaporean man linked to cluster at Grace Assembly of God, she was referred to NCID on Feb 21. She was confirmed to have the virus on the same day.Case 89 is a 41 year-old male Singapore Permanent Resident who has no recent travel history to China.
