Vivian Hsu denies using her song to attack Lee Jinglei

25 Jan – Vivian Hsu has dismissed the notion that she was talking about Wang Leehom's ex-wife Lee Jinglei in her recent social media post.

As reported on Oriental Daily, the Taiwanese singer set tongues wagging last week when she shared the music video of her old song, "Mask", saying that she still likes the song very much despite writing the lyrics and releasing it in 2003, and that she would like to perform it at her upcoming concert.

Vivian also shared the lyrics, which begins with, "You put on the mask of kindness, keep crying and arousing the sympathy of others."

Netizens who saw the post quickly speculated that Vivian was talking about Lee Jinglei, who released several statements about her ex-husband and accusing him of infidelity.

It is noted that Vivian was one of the few celebrities who was dragged into the issue by netizens eager to know the identities of Leehom's alleged multiple partners. Vivian had even released three statements to deny it, with husband Sean Lee also defending her in the process.

However, Vivian had since denied on social media of sharing the song as a way to attack Jinglei, saying that it was only one of the songs that she will be performing at her upcoming May concert, Viviland.

"There is only one thing in my mind right now, that is to concentrate on preparing for my first Taipei Arena concert, to give my fans the best show, so I will share a lot of classic songs or my own favourite songs old and new. I have no distracting thoughts in my head and I don't have the time to do unnecessary and meaningless things. Please do not misunderstand," she added.
