Ong Ye Kung says no plan to impose vaccinated-differentiated measures for kids 12yo & below, but netizens doubtful

Singapore — Health Minister Ong Ye Kung announced on Monday (Jan 10) that there are currently no plans to introduce vaccination-differentiated safe management measures (VDS) for children aged 12 and below.

“Children are less likely to develop severe illnesses when infected, and we want to preserve, as much as possible, universal access to holistic education for children,” said Mr Ong in Parliament.

A 39-year-old woman had spent S$2,000 on a matchmaking package offered by a reputable company in hopes of finding a suitable partner.

‘Last-minute 37% price increase’ leads to S’pore couple’s wedding getting cancelled 4 days before event

Singapore — A couple who were supposed to be married in January 2022, after booking the venue months in advance, had to cancel their special day due to an alleged “last-minute price increase” of 37 per cent.

“Today, we were supposed to be married. But our wedding venue cancelled on us four days ago,” wrote one Marcus Lim on Facebook on Jan 8.

Abandoned trolley issue costs supermarkets S$150k; netizens suggest to install an alarm or barcode

Singapore – Cases of abandoned or unreturned supermarket trolleys in Singapore continue to be an issue, with reports noting that it is a problem costing supermarkets about S$150,000 a year.

The Municipal Services Offices (MSO), which functions under the Ministry of National Development, announced that it received 6,559 reports of abandoned trolleys last year.
