Chinese Singer Li Jiage, 31, Lost The Voice Of China But Ended Up Marrying The Vice President Of iQiyi & They’re Expecting Their 2nd Kid
As the saying goes: “When one door closes, another opens.”
We’ve all heard the old saying “When one door closes, another opens”, and what happened to Chinese singer Li Jiage, 31, is a textbook example of it.
In 2014, she participated in the third season of The Voice of China (before it was rebranded as Sing! China), impressing both the coaches and audiences with her effortless vocals and steady stage presence.
Unfortunately, the competition turned out to be way too strong and Jiage, who was in Na Ying’s team, was eliminated before even making it to the finals… but not before catching the eye of one very important person.
While Jiage did not emerge the champion (that title went to Zhang Bichen), she won the attention of Che Che, 37, who is none other than the vice president of streaming giant iQiyi.
After getting to know each other on a variety show, Che Che decided to pursue Jiage and they started dating. Things worked out well (obviously) and the couple tied the knot in 2018.
They now have a four-year-old daughter and another baby on the way.
Like many female celebs tend to do after marriage and kids, Jiage took a step back from showbiz and has been focusing on being a full-time mother (we’re pretty sure she’s enjoying the tai tai life too), but she still keeps fans updated on her whereabouts on social media quite regularly.
It seems she has still kept in touch with many famous friends as well. A few months ago, Jiage opened her own bar and received congratulatory flowers from celebs like Feng Shaofeng and Fan Chengcheng. Other stars, including Chinese comedian Li Dan, also attended the launch to show their support.
