Provision Shop Owner Who Became An Internet Star For Looking Like Show Luo Faded Into Obscurity After The Singer's Cheating Scandal

Back in 2019, a provision shop owner from Nanning, China, shot to overnight fame because of how he looks like Taiwanese singer Show Luo.

Meng Jun Yuan, then 35, was dubbed Nanning’s Show Luo soon became a popular internet star in China.

Although he initially rejected all offers to become an artiste, he eventually became an influencer and took to selling products on live stream.

The company that he signed with even gave him a team to assist him with his live streams, which often attracted close to 100,000 viewers.

Jun Yuan eventually traded his T-shirts and flip-flops for suits and leather shoes, and at the peak of his popularity, even opened his own restaurant, which became a tourist hotspot as people flocked there to see just how much he really resembles Show.

That all changed last year when Show was exposed by his ex-girlfriend Grace Chow for cheating on her and for basically being a despicable cad.

Show's popularity quickly hit rock bottom in the Mainland and Jun Yuan became collateral damage.

According to netizens, Jun Yuan's restaurant has since closed down and he now conducts his live streams by the roadside.

He has also hawks lychees with a small pick-up.

Despite falling out of favour with the internet and losing his popularity, netizens have praised Jun Yuan for going back to his humble lifestyle with nary a complaint.
