KFC S’pore Launching Fried Chicken ‘Popsicles’ In Mala & BBQ Cheese Flavours
XL yakitori.
This is not a belated April Fool’s joke: KFC Singapore is launching a new limited-edition KFC Popsicle this Wednesday (May 12).
While its name suggests that it’s an ice cream bar, the KFC Popsicle is really a large piece of fried chicken on a skewer. A fast food version of yakitori, if you will. Each popsicle costs $2.95 a la carte.
According to KFC’s press release, the “piping hot snacking treat” comprises “a whole white meat cutlet marinated and fried to perfection before being drizzled with sauce and topped with crumbs for additional crunch and flavour”.
It’s also designed to be “eaten on the go”, in case you ever had the urge to eat KFC while walking (why not, right?).
The popsicle comes in two flavours, BBQ Cheese and Mala.
Here’s what to expect:
● BBQ Cheese Popsicle: The chook is drizzled with a “smoky and tangy” barbecue sauce and topped with crunchy cheese crumbs.
● Mala Popsicle: Spicy mala sauce and “hot mala crumbs” on skewered fried chicken.
You can also get the Popsicle as a set meal with your favourite combos:
Comes with: a KFC Popsicle, regular fries and regular Pepsi Black.
Comes with: a KFC Popsicle, one Zinger burger, regular whipped potato, regular fries and regular Pepsi Black.
Comes with: a KFC Popsicle, two-piece fried chicken (Original or Hot & Crispy), regular whipped potato, regular fries and regular Pepsi Black.
KFC Popsicle available for dine-in, takeaway, and KFC Delivery from May 12.
