Tom Hiddleston’s Loki Series To Debut On Disney+ Two Days Earlier On June 9

Wednesdays are the new Fridays.

Loki has disrupted the flow of time. Kinda.

Disney+ has brought forward the premiere of Loki from June 11 to June 9, and the weekly episodes will be out on Wednesdays instead of the usual Friday schedule which fellow Marvel shows WandaVision and The Falcon and the Winter Soldier followed.

And who better to break the news than Loki himself Tom Hiddleston in a 50-sec video announcement that pokes fun at the Marvel Cinematic Universe Phase 4 sizzle reel unveiled on Monday (May 3).

“I’ve noticed that in these long superhero montages, Loki tends to get a bit left out, even though arguably he’s incredibly heroic himself — cunning, charming, I could go on,” says Hiddleston. “But maybe…why don’t I just prove it to you. Wednesdays are the new Fridays.”

The six-part Loki picks after Avengers: Endgame, with the God of Mischief recruited by the Time Variance Authority to repair the damage caused to the flow of time and alternate realities when Loki used the Space Stone to escape Iron Man and co.

The series also stars Owen Wilson, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Sophia Di Martino, Wunmi Mosaku and Richard E Grant.
