Andy Lau Really Hated Being In Quarantine; Said The Experience Was “Not Good”
Turns out, living isolation is not for the Heavenly King.
For someone who is known as the ‘Hardest Working Man In Showbiz', we’re not at all surprised that Andy Lau loathed his time in quarantine, where he had spent his time, well, not doing anything.
The 59-year-old Heavenly King recently posted a video on his Douyin ─ which happens to be his first personal social media account ─ detailing his days in quarantine at a hotel.
The three minute-long vid, which was shot entirely by Andy himself, was titled ‘This is Andy Lau’s very interesting experience’ and was reportedly taken last November when he had travelled to Shenzhen for work.
We guess ‘interesting’ was a nice way for the star to describe his time in isolation ’cos the dude looked absolutely miserable. In fact, he sounded really down too.
“The feeling is not good, I really miss home, I really miss all of you,” sighed a visibly bummed out Andy to the camera, the tiredness in his voice palpable. We're guessing the devoted dad must really miss his eight-year-old daughter Hanna.
Throughout the clip, Andy could be seen frowning and pursing his lips a lot, and would often look out of his room window, clearly wishing that he was somewhere else.
His life in quarantine was surprisingly modest, especially for a star of Andy’s stature. The only thing out of the ordinary was that Andy had a treadmill in his room, which we presume was a special request made by the fitness-obsessed Heavenly King.
There was also a sad-looking clothes rack (see next pic) where Andy would hang his laundry. Does that mean that he did his own laundry in the hotel room bathroom?
Oh, what we would give to see a clip of Andy washing his clothes in the sink.
According to Andy, he had a fixed daily schedule (but, of course) that included running on the treadmill, taking his temperature and, um, looking out the window.
While most people might see quarantine as a time to rest and catch up on some me time, it’s pretty clear that Andy Lau is not most people.
