Miss Hongkong 2020 contestant Jessica Liu, 24, and TVB host Danny Hung, 23, were soundly criticised last year for having an affair that ultimately led the former's ex-boyfriend, Sam Cheung, 27, to commit suicide. The love triangle made headlines after Sam left a suicide note talking about how Jessica had “lied to [him] countless times to be with someone else”.

Ever since the scandal, Jessica was removed from the list of performers at the recent TVB Anniversary Awards, while Danny was dropped as the host of variety show Young And Restless.

Despite the backlash, Jessica and Danny are said to be still going strong. How do people know this? The couple has been posting photos of themselves (without one another, of course) at the same hiking location and cooking in the same kitchen.

A netizen even uploaded a pic of the burner that was seen in both Danny and Jessica’s photos, raising questions of whether they’ve started living together.

After word got out that they could be cohabiting, Danny quickly deleted the incriminating IG Story, which only made him look more guilty. The couple also disabled comments on their Instagram when netizens started flooding their posts with insults.

It would be an understatement of epic proportions to say that netizens are furious that Danny and Jessica are still dating. One said: Their relationship caused someone’s death. If they had a shred of humanity in them, they’d be too guilty to be so obvious about it on social media.”

Another wrote: “I don’t think it’s a crime to fall out of love with someone, but she should have broken up with him before she started another relationship. Now, the label of being a bad person who caused her ex’s death will follow her forever.
