No Time To Die Delays Release To October
The movie was supposed to open in cinemas here on Apr 1.
It looks like we’ll have to wait a bit longer to watch Daniel Craig’s final James Bond adventure.
No Time to Die, originally slated to open on Apr 2 in the US (Apr 1 in Singapore), will now be out on October 8. (New local release date not announced yet.)
This is the third time No Time to Die has pushed back. It was supposed to be out Apr 2020 but the COVID-19 pandemic delayed it to Nov 2020 and subsequently to Apr 2021.
Taking over Bond’s April slot is the Bob Odenkirk action thriller Nobody, which was supposed to be out on Feb 26.
Elsewhere, Sony is also playing musical chairs with of its releases.
Camila Cabello’s Cinderella has been moved from Feb 5 to July 16; Peter Rabbit 2: The Runaway will drop June 11 instead of Apr 2; Ghostbusters: Afterlife is postponed from June 11 to Nov 11; Jared Leto's Marvel vampire pic Morbius is dated Jan 21, 2022, from Oct 2021; and the Tom Holland-starring Uncharted is shifted from mid-July to Feb 11, 2022.
Over at Disney, the Ralph Fiennes-starrer The King’s Man is moved to Aug 20 from Mar 12. Matthew Vaughn's Kingsman prequel was slated to open in Singapore on Mar 11.
The latest deferments didn’t come as a surprise as COVID-19 cases continue to spike in the US and most cinemas are shuttered, and the few that remain open are operating at a reduced capacity.
