SINGAPORE: Twelve people, aged between 16 and 28, are being investigated for allegedly breaching COVID-19 restrictions in a hotel room, said the police on Wednesday (Jul 28).

“When officers arrived, they found 12 persons allegedly socialising inside the room and consuming alcohol,” said the police in a media release.AdvertisementAll 12 people are being investigated for allegedly not complying with safe distancing measures. The other man, 23, was arrested for using abusive words against a public servant. The offence carries a jail term of up to 12 months, a fine of up to S$5,000, or both.
