UPDATE: 10 new COVID clusters identified in S'pore, including at medical centre in Jurong

Of the 121 linked local infections, 61 are linked to the Jurong Fishery Port cluster while six are linked to the KTV cluster. The two clusters are now linked to 858 and 243 cases, respectively. Twenty-eight local cases are unlinked.

Ten new COVID-19 clusters were announced on Tuesday, bringing the total number of active clusters in Singapore to 35. The new clusters include one linked to a medical centre in Jurong:"Case 65929": 2 new cases, 3 in totalApex Medical Centre : 2 new cases, 3 in totalSeparately, one case has been added to the "Case 65893" cluster, now linked to four infections. Nine others have been added to the cluster at Samy’s Curry Restaurant, now linked to 22 cases.

The MOH noted that the number of new cases in the community has increased from 479 in the week before to 1,021 in the past week. The number of unlinked cases in the community has also increased from 35 in the week before to 143 in the past week. Over the last 28 days, 21 local cases required oxygen supplementation, were admitted to the ICU, or died. Of them, 10 are unvaccinated, 11 are partially vaccinated and none are fully vaccinated.
