The emergency service reported 67 per cent of accidents took place due to violation of traffic laws by motorcyclists while underage drivers were also affected.
A total of 236 accident calls were received in Lahore, followed by Faisalabad and Multan , it said, adding that 195 women were among the victims. Abid handed over helmets to motorcyclists and appealed to them to abide by traffic laws for the sake of their own lives, a handout said.
