The Department of Higher Education on Wednesday issued a threat alert to universities and colleges in Punjab.
According to the 24News HD TV channel, the HED has instructed the colleges and universities to make foolproof security arrangements immediately. All the educational institutions in Punjab have been directed to liaise with their local civil administrations, police and intelligence agencies. The channel report said that a notification has also been sent to all the public and private colleges and universities of the province of Punjab.
