Supreme Court was hearing the case of a person who was outside the Parliament, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
“There are news in the newspapers that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf is going back to the Parliament. If the PTI returns to the Parliament, will the government sit with them?” Chief Justice of Pakistan Umar Ata Bandial questioned. “Legislation should be carried out through consensus instead of majority opinion. The government and the PTI must consider national interest first regarding NAB amendments,” Justice Ijazul Ahsan remarked.
“There is no concept of democracy without politics. After the Second World War, there is also the concept of national government. The PTI may return to the Parliament and say that the NAB amendments introduced during their tenure were correct,” Makhdoom Ali Khan replied.
