Sugar mills violating CCP laws, says inquiry report

Association have also been involved in the recent sugar crisis in the country. Sugar mill owners also influenced the import of sugar, says the inquiry. Sugar prices increased by Rs16 per kilogram in three months due to delay in the import of the commodity.

According to CCP, the Rs18 per kilogram increase in prices led to generation of Rs40 billion revenue in 2019. CCP says that
