Kohli on Saturday resigned from India’s Test captaincy after seven years in the position. The talismanic batter, who announced the decision in a social media post, led the team for 68 matches and won 40 of them, making him India’s most successful Test captain. In the post, Kohli lauded former head coach Ravi Shastri, MS Dhoni and players for their support and leading the team to the number one spot in Test rankings.
