PPP wants to positively engage with democratic legislative process: Bilawal - 92 News HD Plus

In his series of tweet, the PPP chairman said that the government committee arrived at Zardari’s house to discuss upcoming legislation. He said that they wanted to positively engage with the democratic legislative process. “Some parties seem to want to side step the legislative process,” he added.

During the meeting with delegation, the PPP chairman underscored the need to follow democratic process while making amendments to the Army Amendment Act. The government delegation will brief the parliamentary parties on the amendment bill. After evolving consensus, the bill will be presented in the National Assembly on Friday.

Earlier today, the Pakistan Muslim League-N has decided to support the amendment to the Army Act unconditionally. The government delegation had met the PML-N leaders and sought help in the legislation for the amendment to the Army Act.
