Police so far have questioned over 500 people and called in to probe another 200, yet they still have no luck apprehending the killers of the four children who were abused in Kasur.Its nearly been a week since the police in Chunian, Kasur, recovered the bodies of three minors — aged between eight and 12 — who were raped and killed. The first child was abducted in June and the last in September.
This week, the police also received the DNA report of the two children whose bodies it found near a sand dune in the city. The report confirmed that the body parts belonged to Suleman Akram, 8, and Ali Husnain, 9, both children disappeared in August. The bodies have been handed over the children’s families for burial preparations as of now.
In the last seven days, the police have collected DNA samples of 587 men from the area, between the ages of 18-40 years. Additionally, it has called in 200 rickshaw drivers today to gather more DNA samples. While the 25 suspects in the police custody are continued to be probed. Still, the police remain oblivious to the identity of the killers.
Teams have also been sent out in the area to question medical stores owners who sell addictive drugs, which the police suspect maybe have been used on the children.
