LAHORE (Dunya News) – The Punjab government has decided to hold trials of May 9 arson cases, including Jinnah House attack, inside Central Jail here.
The Punjab government on Monday issued a notification according to which proceedings in Jinnah House, Askari Tower and Shadman Police Station siege and attack cases would be held in jail.The special prosecutor in Jinnah House case, Farhad Ali, said anti-terrorism court judge Arshad Javed would conduct proceedings in jail as the number of accused is 63.
He claimed that it was difficult to move the accused to court and back. The authorities tried to hold daily hearings so that the case could be decided as soon as possible, he added.
