At least 10 fire tenders extinguished the fire. Military ambulances busy rescuing injured and providing necessary medical care to them.Earlier, Karachi Corps Commander Lt General Hamayun Aziz visited the scene and reviewed the rescue activities.
Rescue sources told media that the number of deaths in the incident rose to 55. The officials said that 35 dead bodies were shifted to Jinnah Hospital and 20 to Civil Hospital. Six injured persons are currently receiving treatment in Jinnah and two in Civil Hospital's Burns Ward.
