Salman slams govt over Shehbaz’ arrest

Salman Shehbaz, son of Leader of Opposition in National Assembly Shehbaz Sharif, has taken a swipe at the government for the arrest of his father.
He told the media on Monday that his father had already said ‘NAB-Niazi coalition’ has nothing to do with public service and the ‘selected’ premier has lied to the people.
The PML-N leader will come clean, Salman said adding the arrests in the name of accountability are being made to hoodwink ‘selected’ government’s failure to deliver.
Earlier in the day, the National Accountability Bureau arrested Shehbaz as a court rejected his plea for bail in a money laundering.
Shehbaz has been facing NAB probe on charges of accumulating assets beyond means in connivance with his co-accused family members, benamidars, front persons and close associates developed an organised system of money laundering
The main suspects are Shehbaz’s wife Nusrat, his sons Hamza and Salman, daughters Rabia Imran and Javeria Ali while Yasir Mushtaq, Muhammad Mushtaq, Shahid Rafiq and Aftab Mahmood became approvers.
On October 5, 2018, the former Punjab CM was nabbed in the cases Ramzan Sugar Mills and Ashiana-i-Iqbal Housing Scheme.
