MANILA -- The Philippines' Gazini Ganados competed in the evening gown and national costume rounds at Miss Universe late Friday in the US , in creations inspired by the Philippine Eagle.
The gold preliminary evening gown was cut similar to Ganado's hot pink gown at Binibining Pilipinas last July, the bust line shaped like a pair of wings. Ganados is competing for a back-to-back win to succeed Miss Universe Catriona Gray and secure the Philippines' fifth Miss Universe crown.
