Voter's ID unnecessary for disinfection jobs during LuzonLockdown: labor dept COVID19

Watch also in iWant or TFC.tv Daily wage earners who want to make a living during the monthlong lockdown of Luzon do not need a voter's ID to apply to join a government disinfection drive against the coronavirus epidemic, the labor department said Thursday.

"Hindi po kinakailangan ang voter's ID. Hindi po ito panahon ng eleksyon. Nananawagan din po tayo sa ating mga barangay officials na intindihin po natin na tayo po ay nasa krisis," she told DZMM. The program is open for the informal sector or those who do not have employers, including public utility drivers, laundrywomen, vendors and the like, she said.

The program has rolled out in parts of Metro Manila like Quezon City and Valenzuela, and will soon be replicated in provinces, said the official.
