MANILA — Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto on Sunday sought medical professionals to help the city combat the coronavirus disease 2019 outbreak, saying their city hospitals are "nearing saturation point."

We need more human resources," said Sotto in an Instagram post. "If you're a doctor/nurse who would want to work for the city pls email [email protected]," said Sotto.
While admitting the shortage of their medical manpower, Sotto meanwhile recognized the efforts of their city frontliners. In its last public bulletin, Pasig City, as of March 26, has 33 confirmed cases of COVID-19 with 3 recorded fatalities. The Philippines has logged 1,075 COVID-19 cases, 68 of whom died and 35 others recovered, as of Saturday, according to the Department of Health.
