A doctor, “who was active during Martial Law and would have loved to volunteer as a frontline physician at the Philippine General Hospital (PGH),” has succumbed to the coronavirus disease (COVID-19), the University of the Philippines announced on Sunday.

In a Twitter post, the members of the UP community mourned the passing of Dr. Francisco Lukban, from the UP College of Medicine Class of 1982.
