Unvaxxed barred from entering all Cebu City establishments

The Cebu City Police Office on Tuesday, Jan. 11, announced that it will start enforcing the “no vaccination, no entry” policy in all establishments in the city.

Lt. Col. Wilbert Parilla, deputy director for operations of CCPO, said not allowing unvaccinated individuals in establishments is a directive issued by Mayor Michael Rama and the city government has already instructed the city police to enforce it.The “no vaccination, no entry” was supposed to take effect last January 1 but was suspended after the city was battered by Typhoon Odette.

Parilla said they received reports that several establishments such as restaurants and bars are non-compliant of minimum health protocols.In the January 10 data of the Department of Health-Central Visayas, the city had 605 active cases.“That’s our focus, to check all establishments that are not observing health protocols,” said Parilla.

Parilla said the city police have also resumed with its “Oplan Bulabog” in which a number of individuals were caught violating the curfew hours and non-wearing facemasks while in public places.Parilla reminded the public that fines for violating curfew hours and health protocols have been increased from P500 to P1,000.
