MANILA—Tropical storm Sarah further weakened Friday night as it was about to leave the Philippine area of responsibility , state weather bureau PAGASA said.
The tropical cyclone is now packing maximum sustained winds of 65 kilometers per hour , with gusts of up to 80 kph.It was last seen 600 kilometers northeast of Basco, Batanes as of 10 p.m. PAGASA warned that sea travel remained risky, especially for small seacraft, over the seaboards of Batanes, Cagayan including Babuyan Islands, and Ilocos Norte due to rough sea conditions associated with the northeast monsoon.
