Trillanes to run for president in 2022 if no move from Robredo by Oct. 8

— Former Senator Antonio Trillanes IV on Sunday said he will run for president in next year's elections if Vice President Leni Robredo doesn't announce her decision by noon of Oct. 8, the last day of filing of certificates of candidacy.

[Translation: If she decides to run, let’s help her win. But if she still hasn't made up her mind by 12 noon of Oct. 8, I will push through with my presidential bid. We will not allow the true opposition to lose without even putting up a fight.]
