Those who registered in SK elections need not register anew –Comelec

Comelec Spokesperson James Jimenez explained that SK voters are automatically included in the list of “regular” voters for those aged 18 and up.

“Kung nagparehistro nung nakaraan for SK elections, hindi na siya kailangan magparehistro ngayon dahil automatic na nasa list of voters na siya for 18 and above ,” he said in a video blog. As to those who want to verify their registration, he said, they may call the local poll office where they registered.

“Kung gusto mo talaga verify, what you can do is to call the Comelec kung saan sya nagparehistro to validate ,” said Jimenez. Voter registration for the May, 2022 polls already resumed last September 1 except in areas under Enhanced Community Quarantine or Modified ECQ. quarantine status is either downgraded to general community quarantine or modified general community quarantine , or if quarantine is lifted entirely.

It added that voter registration in areas not currently under quarantine, or which are under MGCQ or GCQ, shall According to the Comelec, applications for registration may be submitted from Tuesday to Saturday, 8 A.M. to 3 P.M.,
