Like many other organizations, PLDTEnterprise shifted most of its customer meetings, seminars, and physical events online. This includes its highly-anticipated annual event, the Philippine Digital Convention. BrandRap

When the onset of the pandemic necessitated the temporary closure of physical stores and offices, businesses and companies scrambled to optimize their digital operations. Since digital technology has long been a part of most businesses, this was challenging… but not impossible.

In the entertainment industry, the digital shift is more dramatic and – dare I say – more difficult. Content production in this industry was generally done offline before the pandemic. But to follow safety protocols, most producers opted to shoot their content virtually. Because of this, Zoom-style productions became a trend.

PLDT Enterprise is one of the organizations that shifted most of its customer meetings, seminars, and physical events online – including its most awaited annual event, the Philippine Digital Convention. Carrying the theme, “IMPACT”, this year’s fully virtual PH Digicon, which will be held on October 28 to 30, aims to inspire attendees to embrace the call of making a positive impact on society through the adoption of innovations and technologies set to define the new future of work.

The highlight of the event will be its plenary session – a venue where delegates can learn invaluable insights from global business executives and world-renowned leaders. These include Cisco President & CEO Chuck Robbins, NTT Research President and CEO Kazuhiro Gomi, Nokia President & CEO Pekka Lundmark, CEO of Salesforce Industries David Schmaier, and Founder & CEO of goop, actress, and author Gywneth Paltrow who will be this year’s celebrity headline speaker, among others.

This is the time for business owners to think of the solutions they are administering as the first steps towards a long-term digital expansion.
