This, DepEd said in a statement issued Friday, May 14, is part of the agency’s continuous support to teachers in administering blended learning under School Year 2020-2021 brought about by the coronavirus disease pandemic situation in the country.
Pascua explained that the 35GB per month is “adequate” for the teachers’ online teaching activities as the 1GB bandwidth a day can be used for eight hours of online webinars, downloading, watching of videos, among others. Pascua also mentioned that there is a proposal to give teachers sim cards that could utilize the data connection for school-related work and activities.
Meanwhile, Pascua also gave an update everyone on the ongoing programs of DepEd that would help establish the Public Education Network which was envisioned by President Duterte.
