In the morning of what was intended to be a hush-hush affair, a rumor about the wedding taking place within the day leaked online. As the day progressed, people thought it wouldn’t happen as Sarah was documented on video by co-workers taping for one of her shows. Matteo, on the other hand, posted about spending the day working out at a gym.As it turned out, the two met at the hotel where the wedding was set to take place at close to midnight.
The wedding was confirmed by a blotter report filed by Sarah’s close-in security Jerry Tamara at a police precinct Taguig in the wee hours of Feb. 21. Jerry claimed Matteo punched him for supposedly tipping Sarah’s mother, Divine, about the wedding. The mother, who apparently didn’t know about the wedding, “arrived unexpectedly” at the venue in hopes of talking about it to her 31-year-old daughter.Sarah and Matteo started dating six years ago. They were introduced to each other by a common friend.
The two have always been low-key about their relationship. They had been secretly engaged for many months before they went public about it in November 2019. Prior their civil wedding, the two were reportedly preparing for a wedding in Italy where Matteo’s dad comes from.
