Senate President Vicente Sotto III on Tuesday downplayed the decrease in his and President Duterte’s ratings in the latest Pulse Asia survey.The Senate leader said their hearings on the good conduct time allowance law and the issues at the New Bilibid Prison could possibly have affected the public’s approval and trust of the Chief Executive, but the drop should only because of concern if more people have disapproved of him.
In the survey conducted from September 16-22, eight percent disapproved of the President’s performance while 14 percent said they were undecided. In the previous survey, three percent disapproved, and 11 percent were undecided. Last June, he got 85 percent trust rating, with distrust at four percent, while those undecided were 11 percent.
