MANILA, Philippines — The wakeboarding and water skiing competition in the 30th Southeast Asian Games begins Friday at the Deca Wakeboard Park in Angeles, Pampanga.
Three-time SEAG gold medalist Padiwat Jaemjan of Thailand will begin his quest for a four-peat in the men’s wakeboarding qualification that will commence at 9 a.m. right after the women’s qualifiers.The Philippines will be banking on 2019 International Wakeski and Wakeboard Federation series silver medalist Ralph Villaro for the top honors.
“We have a home court advantage because we get to train in the exact venue where we will compete in. But anything can happen during the actual competition. We are just hoping for the best,” said Villaro.For more sports coverage, visit the ABS-CBN Sports website.
