NEW CLARK CITY—Two-time Olympic swimmer Jasmine Alkhaldi harvested a silver and a pair of bronze medals on Saturday to add to her total in this week's Southeast Asian Games.Alkhaldi joined the group of Nicole Oliva, Remedy Rule and Xiandi Chua to take the second place in the women's 4 x 100 freestyle relay.
The hosts timed 3 minutes and 47.05 seconds behind eventual champion Singapore, which set a SEA Games record of 3:40.92. Alkhaldi earlier snagged a bronze in the women's 100 backstroke, touching the wall in 1 minutes, 4.08 seconds. Vietnam's Thi Anh Vien Nguyen ruled the event , while another Filipina Chloe Isleta took silver .
Alkhaldi also placed third in the women's 50 butterfly behind Ting Wen Quah of Singapore and Thailand's Ard Jenjira Srisa . Meanwhile, Jerard Jacinto and Jonathan Cook narrowly missed the podium again after finishing fourth in their respective events. Cook missed the bronze in the men's 200 breaststroke.
