Most of Luzon and Visayas may continue to experience scattered rains and thunderstorms due to the low pressure area , intertropical convergence zone , and northeasterly surface wind flow, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said on Sunday afternoon, Oct. 24.PAGASA weather specialist Ana Clauren said the LPA will likely exit the Philippine area of responsibility between Sunday evening and Monday morning.
Meanwhile, Cagayan Valley and Cordillera Administrative Region may have cloudy skies with rains due to the northeasterly surface wind flow. The rest of the country will likely experience generally fair weather with partly cloudy to cloudy conditions and isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the ITCZ and localized thunderstorms.
PAGASA reminded the public to remain vigilant against possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms. Moreover, Clauren said PAGASA is also monitoring a tropical depression outside the PAR or at 1,650 km east of Visayas on Sunday afternoon.
