Sara tests positive for Covid-19

DAVAO City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio tested positive for the coronavirus disease 2019 , the city government said on Facebook on Saturday night.Duterte-Carpio's office said the local chief executive has mild symptoms and is isolating.'The Office of the City Mayor of Davao hereby informs the public that Mayor Sara Duterte tested positive for Covid-19 tonight,' the statement said.

'She has mild symptoms and is in isolation caring for other family members who need medical attention in Davao City. The family requests for complete privacy at this time and respectfully urge the public to refrain from sending tokens for well wishes.'The Davao City government has urged those who came in close contact with the mayor to self-monitor for symptoms and get tested five to seven days from contact with her.
