In a briefing via Facebook live, Arriola said those with symptoms are not allowed to board the plane from the country of their origin, and that repatriates who have been allowed to return to their homes after the mandatory quarantine period are negative of the coronavirus disease 2019 .As of Monday, a total of 6,656 Filipinos have been repatriated since February 25. Of this number, 4,687 are seafarers and passengers onboard 30 cruise ships, while 1,969 are land-based overseas Filipinos.

She urged workers to be patient, assuring them that the assistance would come. She advised OFWs in immediate need to reach out to Philippine embassies.Filipinos stranded in Cambodia, Thailand and other places may also reach the Philippine Embassies for assistance.
