The Philippine National Police (PNP) approved on Friday the release of P7,481,118,702.86 for the 2019 yearend bonus of the 205,189 police uniformed and non-uniformed personnel nationwide.

Lieutenant General Archie Gamboa, PNP officer-in-charge, approved the budget after the completion of the final report submitted by Police Major General Jose Victor Ramos, director for comptrollership.

“The year-end bonus is equivalent to the amount of the monthly basic salary of each personnel along with the mandated P5,000 cash gift from the national government,” Gamboa said. “The year-end bonus has been credited to the ATM payroll accounts of each non-uniformed and uniformed police personnel through the Land Bank of the Philippines,” he added.

However, he said that the yearend bonus of PNP personnel with pending administrative and criminal cases have been put on hold as part of disciplinary policy. Meanwhile, PNP personnel who are not yet enrolled in the ATM payroll system will receive their individual cheques through their Regional Finance Service Offices, said Police Brigadier General Joselito Vera Cruz, Director of Finance Service.
