The Quezon City Epidemiology and Disease Surveillance Unit (CESU) recorded 41,137 active coronavirus disease (COVID-19) cases on Saturday, Jan. 15.

As per the data released by the CESU, the tally showed an 18.03 percent increase from the 31,479 active cases recorded on Wednesday, Jan. 12.Quezon City breached the 10,000th mark on Friday, Jan. 7 with 11,999 active COVID-19 cases.The barangays with the most active COVID-19 cases in District 1 and 2 on Jan. 15 are Bahay Toro with 1,157 cases, and Batasan Hills with 1,850 cases respectively.

Brgy. Matandang Balara in District 3 recorded 842 cases, while Brgy. Bagong Lipunan ng Crame in District 4 recorded 687 cases. Brgy. Fairview in District 5 reached 1,035 cases, and Brgy. Pasong Tamo in District 6 had 1,457 cases. Brgy. Mangga in District 3 remains to have the least active COVID-19 cases, from recording 10 cases on Jan. 12 to only eight active cases on Jan. 15.

As of Jan. 15, Quezon City has a total of 228,198 confirmed COVID-19 cases, 185,429 recoveries, and 1,632 deaths.
