The police arrested suspects Nikko Lawrence Hindap alias “Mindtrip,” 26, and John Kenneth Ocal, 23, both residents of Sta. Mesa, Manila.Joint operatives of the Quezon City Police District Drug Enforcement Unit and PDEA-National Capital Region office set up a drug sting to catch them.
An undercover officer posed as a buyer and transacted with the suspects in front of a laundry shop on Guirayan Street in Barangay Doña Imelda at around 10:30 p.m. After the deal, responding officers immediately nabbed the suspects and brought them to the station for further investigation. Seized from the duo were at least 15 grams of shabu worth P102,000, five grams of marijuana worth P1,000, the buy-bust money, and a mobile phone.
The suspects are now under police custody and were charged for violations of Republic Act No. 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
