The patient died while waiting for the result of his coronavirus disease 2019 test, according to Dr. Alinader Minalang, chief of Integrated Provincial Health Office in Lanao del Sur.
He was a brother of a patient, who had died on Sunday, March 22, at the Adventist Medical Center in Iligan City, and was buried at a quarry area in Barangay Bonbonon the following day. They have another sibling, who was admitted at APMC on Sunday afternoon together with a close relative.One other sibling also tested positive for COVID-19 and is now being monitored in a hospital in Manila. He was the first Filipino to be hospitalized after arriving from overseas.However, it was while they were at home in Iligan when the symptoms started to manifest themselves.
