TACLOBAN City - Aside from police-related accomplishments, an initiative of the Leyte Police Provincial Office (LPPO) on organic farming has brought it national recognition as one of the Most Outstanding Police Provincial Offices in the recently concluded 2nd BGen Rafael T. Crame Balangay Awards.

IDOFS NA PARAK is a modern “bayanihan” created to value cooperation and participation among LPPO personnel and their neighborhood. “This is to invigorate teamwork and collaboration in the community. Police-community relationship is imperative in law enforcement and effective policing,” he underscored.

He added that they wanted to ensure a green and organic environment so that the personnel of all stations could benefit from high-value crops that are commercially in-demand in whatever season such as kangkong, tomatoes, siling labuyo, sitaw, pechay, ampalaya, orange delight, and squash. The official added that the program has also somehow helped them achieve their standard body mass index because it promotes healthy eating.
