The Philippine National Police (PNP) is now revising its operation and investigation procedures to protect policemen from the Corona Virus Disease (COVID-19) amid the continuous rise of law enforcers infected by the virus.

PNP Chief Gen. Archie Francisco Gamboa said the safety of policemen was thoroughly discussed during the recent command conference, what with the COVID figures that shows eight policemen already succumbed to the virus out of the 499 who were infected.

During the conference, he said it was agreed that they will revise the PNP First Responders’ Manual to fit the new normal wherein primordial concern is focused on protecting law enforcers from the coronavirus.
