PNP chief relieves Ermita Police Station commander for failure to control crowds at 'white sand' beach

In a statement on Sunday, Joint Task Force COVID Shield said it was thankful to PGen. Camilo Cascolan for making the move, saying Ermita police chief PLtCol. Ariel Caramoan should have planned and implemented"strict security and health safety measures" in the area.

The task force also said Caramoan failed to comply with the order"to monitor and immediately take action on violations of the quarantine protocols that are going viral in the social media." seems unfair to penalize the police commander. social distancing is now a new normal, we should not need police to enforce it. this should now be the responsibility of the people to adopt the new discipline....those who have violated should be penalized.

and for some government officials... that there's proper timing for certain projects. pwede naman silang mag-photo shoot ng ibang accomplishments for that event di ba?

Ang mga tao rin talaga either hindi takot sa covid or hindi alam na kahit mag mask e may risk pa rin silang mahawa. Samahan pa ng mga opisyal sa gobyerno na hindi rin kaya magpatupad ng social distancing dahil mga walang buto. Hindi naman talaga nakapag tataka. Pilipino e. 🤐

Whose idea was it to open this for a limited time? Baka dapat din yun ipenalize. DENR, Manila LGU, shame on you for putting people at risk for the sake of political grandstanding.
